Shefali Jariwala, widely recognized for her appearance in the iconic music video Kaanta Laga and her participation in Bigg Boss 13, has passed away at the age of 42. The actress reportedly suffered a cardiac arrest late Friday night.
Her husband, actor Parag Tyagi, rushed her to a nearby hospital, where she was declared dead upon arrival. Around 12:30 AM, her body was shifted to Cooper Hospital for a postmortem examination. The Assistant Medical Officer (AMO) confirmed that the body had been brought in from another medical facility, and the exact cause of death will be determined following the autopsy report.
Mumbai Police were informed around 1 AM and quickly reached the couple’s Andheri residence. A forensic team also conducted a detailed inspection of the house. While no official statement has been made, the presence of police and forensic experts indicates that authorities are treating the case with caution and investigating all possibilities.
Shefali Jariwala rose to instant fame in 2002 with Kaanta Laga, becoming a household name. She went on to appear in Salman Khan’s film Mujhse Shaadi Karogi, the web series Baby Come Naa (2019), and dance reality shows like Boogie Woogie and Nach Baliye.
